About Animate Old Photos

Animate Old Photos (animateoldphotos.org) helps you bring old photographs and family memories to life with AI. Our tools let you animate old photos, restore family pictures, add loved ones to photos, and create heartfelt videos.

Our Story

As full-stack developers and AI enthusiasts, we're passionate about creating useful AI tools. In 2024, we were inspired by the touching story of Koya Matsuo and Tori-chan. Koya used AI to animate old photos of his late wife so he could see her move again. His story led us to create Animate Old Photos, an AI tool that breathes new life into cherished memories.

What We Do

Animate Old Photos uses AI to transform static photographs into living, breathing moments. Our platform allows you to:

  • Bring old family photos to life as videos
  • Restore faded, scratched, or damaged photos
  • Create hug videos with loved ones, even from separate photos
  • Add a loved one who has passed away to a family photo

Our Mission

We believe every photograph tells a story, and our mission is to help those stories come alive. By combining artificial intelligence with human creativity, we're making it possible for anyone to reconnect with their past in ways never before possible.

How It Works

Using our tools is simple. Upload a photo, choose a tool, and follow the steps on the page.
